Modern PAPER has been prominent in shaping the paper industry globally since 1978 continuously evolving through organic growth, innovation and investment to meet the expectations of both customers and stakeholders. The first UK converting facility was established in Erith, East London in 2020 and the acquisition of Natsons Packaging Ltd in 2022 increased production capacity and industry expertise whilst demonstrating commitment to the growth of the company in the UK tissue sector.
Eren Holding (ultimate parent company of Modern PAPER) has further committed to the UK paper industry by investing over £1Billion in its Shotton Mill Project in Wales where its state-of-the-art high capacity paper mill will produce both brown paper and tissue ensuring security of our customer supply chains within the UK.
This huge investment will create the platform for additional tissue converting lines in the near future allowing a Phase 1 total UK conversion capacity of 70,000 tonnes per annum and will further strengthen our commitment to our customers by offering a fully inter-company production process from pure cellulose to end user product all within the UK.
